Initiatives

Over the weekend, the team from the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation (MDOF), led by the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships, Comrade Tosin Ogundipe, visited Gidan Kwali CDA, Ojota New Garage, to distribute free health insurance cards to beneficiaries within the community.
This initiative is a continuation of our unwavering commitment to improving the welfare and wellbeing of residents across Greater Kosofe. Last December alone, over 2,000 residents benefited from the Foundation's free health insurance programme, and in 2026, more than 1,000 additional beneficiaries have already been enrolled.
Through our partnership with the Lagos State Health Management Agency, these beneficiaries now have uninterrupted access to quality healthcare services for an entir year without paying a kobo.
For many families, this goes beyond a health insurance card; it is peace of mind, financial relief, and the assurance that medical care will be available when it is needed most.
At the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation, this is what we stand for: being there for the most vulnerable members of our community, providing support where it matters most, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Together, we are building healthier communities, one beneficiary at a time!

Food Support Initiatives

This Season of Reflection, in line with our tradition of standing firmly with our people, the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation is providing free raw food support to 1,200 households across Greater Kosofe.
With love and care, we extend this gesture to our Christian and Muslim communities observing this sacred period: a time of prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and renewal.

Healthcare

Over the course of 3 impactful days, we successfully enrolled 2,000 residents of Greater Kosofe into a FREE health insurance scheme giving them access to quality medical care all year round at their chosen hospitals, at zero cost.
This is what the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation (MDOF) stands for.
We believe that good health should not be a privilege reserved for a few, but a basic right especially for those who need it the most. Many of the beneficiaries we met had postponed hospital visits for months due to cost. Seeing their relief, joy, and gratitude reminded us why this work matters.
From mothers to fathers, elders to young people, the appreciation was overwhelming. For many, this wasn't just insurance: it was hope, dignity, and peace of mind.
More to come!

Humanitarian Support for Oworonshoki Demolition Victims

Over the weekend, the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation (MDOF) disbursed a N3 million cash support fund to victims affected by the recent demolition in Kosofe.
This relief is aimed at providing immediate assistance and palliative support to help families find stability during this difficult time.
At MDOF, we don't just talk about compassion; we act on it. We stand with our people in moments of hardship and efforts are underway to ensure that verified victims receive this support.
